Hydro One Tower Painting

Project Overview

Tower Power Group successfully completed a large-scale transmission tower painting project for Hydro One in Southern Ontario, applying full-body and arm coatings under planned outages. The project ran from August to mid-November, with two dedicated teams working efficiently to ensure quality control. Each tower underwent a thorough internal inspection and QA process, ensuring the highest standards were met.

Delivered in partnership with our Joint Venture (JV) partner, Three Fires Group, this project emphasized collaboration and cultural respect. A traditional Smudge and gathering ceremony at the outset brought together senior leaders from Hydro One, the Tower Power team, and Three Fires leadership. Strict safety protocols were followed, including comprehensive site safety plans and QA documentation. Using a specialized one-coat Galvatech Rust Anode application, the project was completed successfully, meeting all safety, quality, and schedule requirements while maintaining environmental integrity.
